Norman Rockwell

I had a hard time finding art that looked decidedly American - not Native American or Meso American, but modern, in order to be able to do the more modern monsters of folklore. Eventually I settled on looking at one particular artist rather than the culture as a whole. Norman Rockwell is well known for his scenes of American life, and has a very recognisable style.
